My name is Vesna Stanić and I am a sponsorship activation and marketing expert. One of my occupations is writing for different marketing and sports marketing magazines such as Slovenian monthly Marketing magazine, monthly sports magazine Sokol, sports marketing magazine Sporto and magazine dedicated to design and creativity MM Kreativ. I also lecture in the field of sponsorships and fundraising for sports and non-governmental organizations. In last two years I’ve been spending most of my time working on sponsorship strategy and sponsorship program execution for Microsoft business and technology conference in Slovenia called NT konferenca.
I have BSc in political science (a really long time ago I wanted to become a war correspondent therefore I studied defense studies which is a political science program), but during the study I found marketing and communications more interesting. My first communications experiences began in journalism. Shortly after that I got my first experiences in the field of marketing communications. I worked as a marketing assistant in marketing department of a bank SKB – Société Générale Group. Thereafter I continued my work in the world of a marketing agency.
I worked as a communications consultant in a leading agency in South Eastern Europe Pristop. I was assigned integrated communications projects for clients in private and public sector, sports, culture and social. I was also responsible for development of sponsorships and sports marketing.
The last five years I’ve been attending many sports marketing and sponsorships conferences and seminars in Europe such as Sport marketing 360°, Sport marketing & New Media Seminar, Global Sport Forum, Future Sponsorship, Slovenian Sporto conference and also marketing conferences in this area like Golden Drum, Weekend media festival, Slovenian advertising festival, SKOJ (Slovenian Public relations conference) etc.
Many projects that I created or I was significantly involved in received various professional awards. Among these I foremost appreciate the project 35th Anniversary of ice-cream Planica for dairy Ljubljanske mlekarne which was awarded four times: firstly at Slovenian Public relations conference, secondly at seminar of media trends Sempl, thirdly it received Grand Prix at Slovenian Advertising festival and the last award was bronze Effie – award for communication efficiency. In the field of sports marketing I work with volleyball club ACH Volley which received an award for communications excellence by European Volleyball Association in the first year of Championship League.
