Simon Meehan

Simon Meehan is the sponsorship manager for Castrol Europe and Africa and runs the biggest sponsorship in the company’s history, its partnership with the FIFA World Cups in 2010 and 2014. Meehan joined Castrol from Ford Europe where he successfully ran the UEFA Champions League sponsorship programme. Meehan was also responsible for developing Ford’s World Rally Car sponsorship rights package in 2007. At Castrol, his role focuses on developing and delivering a football and motorsport sponsorship strategy for the European and African region including the activation of a world class engagement for Castrol customers at the FIFA World Cup tournaments in 2010TM and 2014TM. He is also be responsible for ensuring the sponsorship provides the maximum return on investment for the business.
