Oliver Ciesla was appointed managing director of sports marketing firm Sportsman Media Group in July 2010.
Before joining the Sportsman, Oliver Ciesla was vice president TV Rights at Sportfive. During his twelve years with the Hamburg-based sports rights and marketing agency he was, among others, responsible for the acquisition and distribution of top class football rights such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup, Bundesliga, Serie A as well as the IHF Handball World Championships and the Rally World Championships (WRC).
In addition, Ciesla was Chairman of the Board of Sportfive’s Israel affiliate since 2007 and Managing Director of the agency’s Italy operation between 1999 and 2001.
