John-Paul Cody-Cox

John-Paul Cody-Cox was appointed chief executive officer of Volleyball Canada in August 2010.

Mr. Cody-Cox has been the Executive Director of Volleyball Canada for the past three and one-half years, prior to which he served as the association’s Marketing Director, beginning in 2004.

During his tenure with Volleyball Canada, John-Paul led a significant turn-around in the association, eliminating two-thirds of the association’s $1.7 million debt in just over three years. At the same time he was able to create program growth by forging strong partnerships with provincial members, provincial and municipal governments, sport system partners and the corporate sector. As Director of Marketing, Cody-Cox managed international events like World League and the Montreal stop of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, and grew corporate sponsorship for Volleyball Canada from $50,000 to $500,000. John-Paul has been one of the chairs of the Canadian Team Sport Coalition that, in the last federal budget, successfully secured $6 million in funding to strengthen the development of Canadian team sports.
