Ivan Brixi is responsible for Octagon operations in Asia. Five years ago, he established Octagon Asia’s core business disciplines Sales & Sports Events and Sponsorship Consulting and Octagon quickly became a leader in the rapidly developing sports marketing industry in Asia. Based in Beijing, he now oversees Octagon offices in China, Japan, Southeast Asia and India.
A 14-year Octagon veteran, Ivan also served as Vice President of Octagon’s Athletes & Personalities division in the US, before moving to Asia. During this period his responsibilities included the active management of the careers of Octagon athletes such as tennis greats Martina Hingis, Amelie Mauresmo and Elena Dementieva.
Ivan possesses a wealth of sports marketing and management experience having initiated and developed sports events in developing markets like China, Russia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and South America.
Prior to joining Octagon, Ivan served as a corporate attorney at MCI Communications. He earned his JD from Georgetown University Law School and is a former Czechoslovakian junior tennis champion.
