Gary Bee

Gary has over thirty years owner/ director-level design, marketing and advertising industry experience.

Originating from Manchester where he formed and successfully sold on two specialist marketing consultancies in his early twenties, Gary was headhunted by BDH, the UK's largest independent multi-award winning advertising agency, where he was made responsible for directing and growing its multi-million pound, through-the-line brewery accounts.  He moved to the West Country twenty years ago, having been invited to sit on the board of one of Bristol's leading advertising agencies.

Gary joined Impact fifteen years ago and rapidly nurtured aspects of the business; for example, a local GP awareness campaign for the Somerset Area Health Authority was transformed and successfully rolled out as a national multi-lingual initiative, resulting in him being invited by the then Minister for Health, Baroness Cumberlege, to present the project at the Department of Health in Whitehall.

In addition to being a co-owner of Impact, Gary is fully responsible for the day-to-day pro-active management of the following accounts:
Scottish & Southern Energy, the UK's second largest energy provider.
Heinz, World-leading food manufacturer.
Constellation Europe, the World's largest wine distributor.
Heineken, Europe's largest brewer.

For the latter, Gary's work has been acknowledged by the Design Business Association, Marketing and Marketing Week magazines and aspects of his portfolio are used as examples for students on relevant courses at Oxbridge.  In the last year Gary has developed the 'Finest Hour' ale brand in conjunction with Heineken and the RAF to commemorate the RAF's 90th anniversary.  It proved to be the brewer's most successful ever new brand launch, being totally over-subscribed one month in advance of its availability and, as an acknowledgement of his achievements, also resulted in Gary being invited by Lord Craig of RAFA to attend the House of Lords earlier this year.

A passionate sportsman, Gary is frequently found on the terraces of Old Trafford, the stands of Twickenham and the Le Mans motor racing circuit.
