Noto quits NFL to return to Goldman Sachs

The National Football League’s Chief Financial Officer, Anthony Noto, is leaving after two years in the position to return to investment bank Goldman Sachs.

Eric Grubman, executive vice president of business operations, will oversee the American Football league’s finance at least until the end of collective bargaining negotiations with the NFL Players Association.

Grubman, also a former Goldman Sachs employee, led the league's finance operations when he joined the NFL in 2004.

Noto will leave on October 4 to serve as a partner in Goldman Sachs' investment banking division. He will also co-head the firm's Global Media Group.
