£23k + Commission + Bonuses – OTE - £40k+

Overview of Role

SportBusiness Group is the leading B2B publisher for the global business of sport and is a division of Electric Word Plc, a company listed on the London AIM market. Our flagship title, SportBusiness International, industry leading website and portfolio of supplements, directories and reports attract a high value global readership. To build on our international profile SportBusiness Group is now looking to recruit a Media Sales Executive to join the sales team.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced sales person to build on an established client base and contribute towards the long-term growth ambitions of SportBusiness Group.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Maximise sales revenues for SportBusiness International and additional products or services from SportBusiness Group.
  • Identify and approach key prospects converting them into long-term profitable relationships
  • Build and maintain ongoing client relationships as a representative of SportBusiness.
  • Protect and grow revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the SportBusiness brand with professionalism and maturity.
  • Research and introduce new leads and new revenue streams to SportBusiness Group.
  • Contribute to, and work with, other members of the sales team.
  • Ensure you achieve your monthly target.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative.

 
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
·         Sell display advertising in SportBusiness International, on related supplements, the annual SportBusiness Marketplace Directory and online through our website www.sportbusiness.com.
·         Maintain and upkeep database records
·         Work in a Target based environment
·         Maintain marketplace/trade knowledge and originate sales ideas/leads
·         You will have experience in telephone sales and come from a publishing background. The ideal candidate will be equally adept at selling over the telephone (which is the predominant sales method) or in person in a confident and professional manner.

  • Proven consultative sales ability
  • Good telephone and written presentation skills
  • Good computer skills – Outlook and MS Office
  • Tenacity and creativity
  • Ambition, taking responsibility for growing sales
  • Maturity
  • Familiar with CRM systems.
