London Wasps Rugby and Wycombe Wanderers Football Club share the same ownership & management team and operate from a vibrant joint Headquarters, Facilities & Ground at Adams Park.
They seek a candidate to span both clubs to create a decisive and coherent Media, PR & Communications strategy and to deliver it in accordance with the wider objectives of each Club. The remit is to ensure the achievement of high impact & positive coverage at National & Local level with relevant Journalists & Broadcasters and other sports bodies whilst ensuring compliance with the Governing Bodies of each sport and the allied competitions run for them. Your activities should be fully integrated and support the aims & objectives of the sales & marketing teams.
Both internally and externally focused you will support, advise and guide the management & players with agreed media & communications directives and protocols to ensure beneficial outcomes. Additionally you would take responsibility for ensuring a proactive, approachable and timely communication with the supporters and the local community and other stakeholders to ensure they are consistently engaged with the on and off pitch activities.
A background of at least 3 years within the sport, sport media or leisure sector should be complemented with the experience of leading & managing a PR & Communications team against clear objectives. You will need to possess the necessary gravitas, organisational skills and mental agility to work with a wide ranging audience on a variety of issues.
