- Felix LOCH (GER) became the youngest Gold medal winner in the Men's Singles Luge by becoming Olympic Champion at the age of 20 years and 205 days.
- David MOELLER (GER) handed Germany the Silver medal in the Men's Singles. This marks the first time in 38 years an NOC wins Gold and Silver in this event. The last to do so was East Germany who swept the podium in 1972.
- Armin ZOGGELLER (ITA) claimed Bronze in the Men's Singles Luge to win a fifth successive medal in this event. The Italian is now one of three male athletes to have won five consecutive medals in the same event at the Olympic Winter Games, joining Georg HACKL (GER) in Luge and Ricco GROß (GER) in Biathlon.
