Chelsea’s 7-0 win in the FA Cup third round against Ipswich Town on 9 January was the second ever biggest win for the club in the competition. Their only win by a bigger margin was against Worksop Town (9-1) 103 years ago.
- This was the third time Chelsea have scored seven goals in a FA Cup match.
- Including all competitions, Chelsea have now scored at least seven goals in five matches in the last year. The also did it against Sunderland (7-2), Aston Villa (7-1), Stoke City (7-0) and Wigan Athletic (8-0) in last season’s Premier League.
- Chelsea reached the FA Cup fourth round for the 14th consecutive season. Only Arsenal have a longer running streak (15).
