Canada wins record 14th Gold medal

Canada won its 14th Gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics on Sunday, 28 February when its Men’s team won the Ice Hockey final. Canada therefore set a new Winter Games record of 14 Golds at a single Games, breaking the record of 13 set by the Soviet Union (1976) and equalled by Norway in 2002.

  • Ice Hockey Silver medalllists, the USA claimed its 37th medal at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, breaking the record of most medals at a single Winter Olympics which was held by Germany who won 36 medals in Salt Lake City in 2002.
