Canada won its 14th Gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics on Sunday, 28 February when its Men’s team won the Ice Hockey final. Canada therefore set a new Winter Games record of 14 Golds at a single Games, breaking the record of 13 set by the Soviet Union (1976) and equalled by Norway in 2002.
- Ice Hockey Silver medalllists, the USA claimed its 37th medal at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, breaking the record of most medals at a single Winter Olympics which was held by Germany who won 36 medals in Salt Lake City in 2002.
