With the start of the World Cup finally here, we look forward to our first ever event in Africa.
We are finally there. The excitement has been transmitted through the press, TV, internet, radio and even Twitter has created a little ball icon to be attached next to footy related Tweets. And SportBusiness is delighted to contribute, at least in a tiny way, to the centre of the sport industry that will be South Africa in the coming weeks.
For the first time ever, SportBusiness Group will be doing a conference in Africa. As content partners of the World Sports Destination Expo, we are managing the International Sports Tourism Conference at the Sandton Convention Centre on July 5th. This is the opening day of the World Sports Destination Expo and will feature speakers including Marthinus Van Schalkwyk (Minister of Tourism, South Africa), Lindiwie Mahlangu (CEO Johannesburg Tourism Company), Marcia Lins (Secretary of Sport for Rio de Janeiro), Jeanine Pires (President - Embratur, Brazil) and many more.
